Earthmelon is Now AFSA Approved

AFSA Seal of Approval

Some milestones are worth pausing on. This is one of them.

Earthmelon has officially received the AFSA Seal of Approval — the Allergy Foundation of South Africa's independent, scientifically-backed endorsement for products that genuinely help people living with allergies and asthma. It now covers our AC210 and AC201B air purifiers, our MD307A, MD309S and MD823A dehumidifiers, and each of their replacement filters.

It's a small seal with a large amount of scrutiny behind it. AFSA has supported allergy and asthma sufferers in South Africa since 1969, and its approval isn't for sale — it's earned through independent testing against strict criteria for allergen and irritant reduction. When a product carries this seal, it means an outside body checked the claims, not just the brand making them.

Why this matters to you

We built Earthmelon because dust, pet dander, damp and poor air quality are daily realities in South African homes, not abstract problems. AFSA accreditation means the relief we've been promising — cleaner air, drier rooms, easier breathing — now carries independent proof alongside it. Every unit we sell under this seal is also independently NRCS-certified for electrical safety, so the same rigour has been applied twice: once for what it does, and once for how safely it does it.

What's covered

  • AC210 Smart HEPA Air Purifier (and its replacement filter)
  • AC201B True HEPA Air Purifier (and its replacement filter)
  • MD307A Quiet Dehumidifier
  • MD309S Compact Dehumidifier
  • MD823A 2-in-1 Dehumidifier & Air Purifier (and its replacement filter)

You'll now find the AFSA seal on each of these product pages, in our site footer, and among our homepage trust signals. You can read more about what the accreditation means, and see the full list of approved products, on our Certifications page.

Thank you for trusting Earthmelon with the air you and your family breathe. This seal doesn't change what we've been building — it confirms it.
