Room size is the biggest factor in choosing between our two air purifiers. The AC201B is built for bedrooms, nurseries, and home offices up to 15 m² — quiet, compact, and easy to tuck onto a nightstand or desk. The AC210 is the larger, smarter option for bigger bedrooms, living rooms, and open-plan spaces up to 30 m². Each product page has a side-by-side AC201B vs AC210 comparison if you're still deciding.

Yes. The AC201B runs at under 47dB and the AC210 at under 52dB — both are designed to be comfortable running overnight in a bedroom, so you get cleaner air without a noisy machine keeping you up. The AC210 also has a dedicated sleep mode.

Both purifiers use True HEPA filtration, designed to capture fine airborne dust and the allergens that come with it — helpful if you're an allergy sufferer, a pet owner dealing with hair and dander, or just tired of dust settling on every surface. The AC210 adds a layer of activated carbon, which helps reduce smoke and lingering odours too. Earthmelon air purifiers aren't medical devices and don't diagnose, treat, or cure any condition — if you have a specific health concern related to allergies or air quality, please check with a healthcare professional.

Every 3–6 months with regular use, depending on how much dust, smoke, or pet hair your air deals with and how many hours a day it runs. A worn filter won't stop your purifier switching on, but its purification quietly drops off — so it's worth replacing on schedule. Genuine replacement filters for both the AC201B and AC210 are available in our Air collection, and bundling a filter with your purifier is the easiest way to make sure you never run out.

We currently ship within South Africa only. Orders over R500 qualify for free delivery; orders under R500 show shipping costs at checkout. Most orders are processed within 1–2 business days, with standard delivery taking a further 3–5 business days depending on your location. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Every Earthmelon product is covered against manufacturing defects, and we personally sort out anything that arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect if you contact us within 7 days of delivery. To get the fastest support and keep a record of your purchase, we recommend registering your product on our Welcome page after you buy — it takes under a minute and confirms your warranty regardless of where you purchased from (Earthmelon, Takealot, Makro, Amazon, or elsewhere).

You have 14 days after receiving your order to request a return, as long as the item is unused and in its original packaging. If something arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, let us know within 7 days and we'll make it right — you won't need to cover return shipping in that case.
